The analogy used on the discussion for this mod was that it's like adding dampening below the bars on a Xylophone, doing so would stop the vibration. Here the points on the board where screws connect are having any vibration dampened so that less vibration is passed to the IMUs in the Pixhawk 2.

The Pixhawk 2 has internal dampening, but there's still benefit to be had reducing vibration as much as practically possible.

Hey Ian, I don't get how this does anything. How is the vibration reduced? By the inertia of the sorbothane? I don't get it.
