Personally I believe stumble guys surpassed fall guys because the clone was free to download and on mobile while the original was not. Though it's kinda sad how a clone can become way popular than the original things.
Seriously, some days ago I saw at a stationary shop a little stand that had toys based on stumble guys. What-💀

Long story short the clone passed the original by releasing on mobile. Fall Guys tried to be a higher quality experience on PC + Console but sometimes a low effort clone game "wins" by being in the right place at the right time. Thanks for this video Henke! was cool to learn this story.

The reason I believe for stumble guys blowing up was probably because it reached schools. I remember last year was my freshman year, and around that time, being after winter break, everyone started downloading it and playing matches during class, rallies, lunch, everything. The game was so popular that you could barely sit with someone at lunch without having stumble guys downloaded.

My only issue with Fall Guys was how the downtime between each time you get to play takes too long. I probably would be playing more often if the level selection roulette didn't drag on too long. As for the Fall Guys clone, I could care less.

I think there's actual love and compassion from Mediatonic when they make the game Fall Guys while Stumble Guys is just a lazy cash grabbing rip off. And people only play it because it's on more platforms than Fall Guys and because their friends play it.

Fall Guys takes SO LONG to get you into a game!
Takes forever to find 60 players, then it takes like a minute to show you a camera view of the course you already know, then there's the chance of losing in the first round due to the more competitive nature and having to wait way too long for the next game

Wow, I was playing Trails of Cold Steel II while watching this video, and was shocked to hear "Feelings Soar With the Wind from Trails in the Sky FC out of nowhere. Really made me nostalgic for Estelle and Joshua's adventure. Great music choice, also noticed the Ys one in there as well.
