Stator out and new headwire passed through(soldered directly to the field coils like a true proper headwire should be done - anything less is lazy work...IMO.. no offense). Varnished stator and choke coil. adjusted switch for excellent snap feedback and adjusted the contact knife for super tight connection to pads. Full rebuild of switch and connections. Three line wire(matching rayon covered round for motor) for grounded connection. Tested for absolute perfect electrical isolation (meaning zero reading from the hot/neutral prongs to the fan body). brown leatherette base cover to compliment the patina of the excellent condition paint. Gearbox cleaned out, drive train spaced with new fiber washers, adjust for minimal play, and end play limited to 1/32". Loop pivots greased as well, including the directional adjustment.

After video, I gently picked the few white paint specs off the OG paint. base cover rust converted, and finished. then brown cover applied.

All screw head(90% were stripped) were sanded clean and polished before reinsertion.

Rotor wire wheel cleaned and lightly coated with drying silicone oil. Oil cup polished, cleaned thoroughly, and new wick installed. Oil drains also cleaned perfectly. Fan had zero bearing play.

Customer plans to polish blade and leave cage original. One of the best condition AOU stumps I've seen paint-wise. A real pleasure to spend 10hrs doing what I consider all bare minimum preservation work. Customer is super happy, but wish she'd post photos AFTER my work. But, I understand she wants photos after the blade is polished.

Grounded, electrically isolated, and all work done to my strenuous standards.

Test blade is from a BMY, but good enough to test how lovely this fan runs. Another AOU(all iron) ready for for another 100 years. Happy birthday to the fan getting a true professional overhaul on the 100 anniversary production.

Thanks for watching and enjoy! apologies for typos, as I cut my thumb at work last week.

I am so enjoying my old-new fan! I have an L-shaped living/dining/kitchen. The power and rotation of the fan keep the air moving with a cool breeze going thru the entire space. The low hum is calming. Looks great, too. The spinning blades pick up the light like a prism. Really happy to find Alex to fix it for me. Thanks for the great job you did!
