Teena Marie, Minnie Rippleton, Stephanie Mills, Lisa Fischer, and then there’s Rachelle Ferrell. All these ladies in a league of their own, love them all for their unique vocals!!! I miss real singers like this.😌💜💕

@ 4:02, she is one of those artists that sounds better live. I like how she doesn't have a definative set of notes, she scats and riffs, makes it more spontaneous and emotional i feel

Can you believe that this woman has only dropped two actual studio I love this woman's music thanks to my mom being a fan of hers. This is definitely my favorite song by her. This album came out my freshman year in college.

I'm a hopeless romantic, sorry, but I fell in love with her the first time I saw her and heard her voice. I don't understand why someone had not married her in '87 and protected the greatest jazz singer ever. She was abused by the record companies. She still is beautiful.

Tears don't stop pouring when I hear this song of contriteness...the deep sorrow of love's loss.. especially when she was the best thing for you and you caused her such deep heart break...the pain is almost inescapable....

Hopefully she will receive an award for contemporary artist she has a way with those classic jazz classics from the legends like Autumn Leaves, You Don't Know What Love Is, and the list goes someone said in the other comment section of the various songs she sung and the way she sings she can hold her own.

This song here titled I can't explain has the markings of a gospel song the way it was lyrics, music arrangements. And can't forget her range, style, octave, and the the adlib my God!! I my hands started going up and waving away as if I was st church. She mesmerized me because it's like being on cloud nine. She's totally gifted, and amazing.
