This was my first Purity Ring song and I fell in love

I interpreted this song as a metaphor for giving someone your heart, or them giving you theirs. Hearts are behind sternums. When she says “my little ribs around you” that is a way of saying she will protect his heart. How much closer can two people be than that. It makes me cry everytime lol

I still remember an old friend I had sent me this song. Nastya, I'll never forget you. I was 15, depressed and lost, and she was 16. Incredibly talented and kind. Im 23 now, haven't been able to find and talk again with her in years . Back Then I couldn't understand the meaning. I've grown up so much in those years . I wonder how she is. I hope that she is doing well. I hope that she is feeling all feelings, that she can enjoy small and big things. That she still makes art, that she will always be true to herself .

i've been listening to this song for five years and i really feel like it's a weird part of me, yet i can't listen to it too much or i identify with it less? it's so weird. emits a very strong, dreamlike vibe.

heard this song for the first time last weekend. i was at my boyfriend's house and we were watching letterkenny. i had just gotten super high. i was laying in his arms. i started listening deeply to the song that was playing at the moment, which happened to be this song. it truly felt like it was speaking to both of us. he held me a little tighter as if he felt it too. that moment felt the way i imagine heaven would feel. all i felt was euphoria. it was the greatest thing i've ever felt. true love is a very beautiful thing.
