Stonehenge Stone Circle Experience

Did you know you can actually go inside the circle of Stonehenge? Well, you can but only with English Heritage, who run, oversee and protect Stonehenge.

The experience lasts an hour and it's worth every penny! Yes it is more than normal admission but it's a very special experience - you go either before or after opening times and there is also an official "storyteller" with the group to answer any questions.

It's really incredible being able to see the ancient sarsens and bluestones upclose.

Thanks for sharing. In my Washington State we have a huge stone henge replica at Maryhill. I’ve always wanted to see the original Looks like a great place to visit.

Beautiful would love to visit! You never used to be able to go up to the stones, it was all fenced off.Is this an extra thing you pay for them to get close? Definitely worth it.
