Thanks Man... One time at Haulover Canal (IRL) by the boat ramp, we saw a group of them...easily 25. They liked our boat somehow and were mouthing on it...and making a low frequency sound. There is still a smear on the pontoon from one of their mouths. Three of them came to the back and raised their faces out of the water really checking us out...and vice versa. We saw one giving birth...on her back with 4 others around the stomach...way cool. Lots of doo doo floating around too...looked just like ours. Later on they all spread out and floated with their backs out of the water...for an hour. Way cool...! Now they have almost no sea-grass...and it used to be up to the surface of the water. Scary...and no part of government really cares or has done anything...ever.

Years back manatee were so populated we'd use them as jet ski ramps- there's a way to jump them so they aren't hurt and actually enjoy it.

I miss them and hope one day they'll be back and my child will know the joy of catching 12 feet of air off a manatee. We are losing so much to the water management program....
