Sheldon Glashow: Nobel Laureate and Electroweak Theory Pioneer

American physicist Sheldon Lee Glashow won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1979, shared with Steven Weinberg and Abdus Salam for their work on the electroweak theory, which unifies particles and forces. He also predicted neutral currents, charmed particles, and intermediate vector bosons, which were later discovered. Glashow has authored about 300 research papers and three books, and is currently the Metcalf Professor of Mathematics and Physics at Boston University.
