These videos are amazing. It is probably just my personal nostalgia of when I grew up, but to me this era will always represent the best that fantasy could ever look on film. Movies like Legend, Willow, Neverending Story, and even the low-budget cheesier ones actually look like a Frank Frazetta painting come to life. It's difficult to describe the sense of awe that is evoked looking at these kind of visuals, and is one of the few things left that can take me back to a sense of childhood wonder. Here's hoping enthusiasts can create feature length stuff in this style someday. Today's fantasy shows and films are just too clean looking to me, and it makes them feel less like an adventure streamed from another dimension and time. Also the synth music and sound here is just as important.
