“If our brains were simple enough to understand, we’d be too stupid to do so.” -My senior year anatomy teacher lol

So yeah, I don’t hold it against anyone for not having a definitive answer when it comes to the brain. It’s so complex that idk if we’ll ever get a grasp on it.

I learned a lot, but secretly I’m just happy to know a Calyrex plushie is as ridiculous as I assumed it’d be.

This is why when I'm playing games and someone is being really stupid I say "their brain is SO BIG but SO SMOOTH"

"Yes I'm insulting Wyomingites, but there's like four of you."

As a Wyomingite I have only two things to say. First off, how dare you insult my people in such a way! And second, great video as always!

Another fun fact about the brain is that a lot of the higher order functions (abstract thinking, stuff beyond sensory data, etc) takes place in the frontal cortex, which humans have a larger one of these than most animals, including other primates. So it could be that humans are capable of more complicated feats of building, thinking, etc, due to this more specialized region of our brains rather than it being a merely a question of brain size or brain to body mass ratios.

8:55 a correction/further information here, the usage of "bug" referring to defects predates the invention of electronic computers, it has been used in engineering since the 1870s (no clear origin). The moth in the computer did popularize the usage of "bug" in computers when the operator who found the bug was also familiar with the engineering term and joked about it being the "First actual case of bug being found." (the wording here shows the term "bug" predates this event)
