The Thin Man 1934, William Powell, Myrna Loy, First Time Watching, Full Movie Reaction

Retired detective from New York, Nick Charles (William Powell) has been in California living the high life on his new wife Nora's (Myrna Loy) money. He's gotten very accustomed to not racking his brain to solve crimes the police can't solve. They visit New York for Christmas and all of his former friends plead for his skills to help locate a missing former client of his: Clyde Wynant, aka, the Thin Man. Clyde left town under mysterious circumstances that he caused, by refusing to divulge where he was going, or for how long. His daughter wants him home to walk her down the aisle. His ex-wife wants him home for more alimony checks. Clyde had gotten involved with a low-life "secretary" who contributed to his divorce. Right as he leaves town he discovers she's been ripping him off for years and has multiple other lovers. The longer Clyde remains missing his family and police seem to get nowhere tracking him down. Finally, Nick at the prodding of Nora, who wants to see him in action just one time, gets involved into the danger and mystery and single-handedly cracks the case.
