Multiple reports suggest that Israel’s spy agency Mossad placed explosives in thousands of Hezbollah pagers. They subsequently detonated, and according to Lebanon’s health ministry, at least 12 people were killed, and at least 2,750 are in hospital.

Is Israel behind the attack? What does this mean for tensions between Lebanon and Israel - could Israel find itself fighting a war on two fronts?

The Spectator’s assistant online editor Angus Colwell is joined by Paul Wood, former BBC foreign correspondent and Spectator contributor.

What's worrying. If what happened is possible, doesn't the NHS still use pagers?

2 completely different goals, Israel wants an all out war where the US will be forced to jump in and save Israel, but the resistance wasn't a low to mid level war that will continuously deplete Israel over time without the US jumping in
