Never tasted a pepper so flavorful as the scotch bonnet, if it wasn’t for the heat, you would think you were eating a fruit

Tip.
If u happen to slice fire peppers without gloves wash hands with any Toothpaste.Takes the oils right off.

Awesome video; thanks for sharing. I used to be a chile lightweight too; it was actually Yella Bonnets that got me into hot peppers. The flavor is crazily addictive.

I save seeds on paper plates, and i just write the variety of chile on the plate. And, in the spirit of reduce/reuse/recycle, i simply cross out the earlier varieties and write in the next one, once the first seeds have dried. I do the same shit with solo cups for my seedlings; i have plenty of three year old solo cups with multiple crossed-out labels...

Fwiw, I'm estimating my Scotch Bonnets are in the neighborhood of 300kSHU. Tbh, the heat varies a lot, with the plants putting out the hottest pods when they're stressed/ wilted. Yours came from late August, true dog days of Summer, so they're among the hottest!

Mary—if a pepper is too hot, swab your mouth with coconut oil or drink some tomato juice. Those two probably work the fastest! We make lots of hot sauce with scotch bonnets so we’ve learned the hard way! Nice video — keep pushing! Poppi (poppishotsauce.com)
