You know what's coming it writes it's self. Someone is getting kidnapped with or without the boyfriend. And good old phone tracker to the rescue. That'll be half an episode may bleed into two of them.

there also is evidence that cooper met her after her husband died and plenty of witnesses..which gets further supported by the attack on him which was a retaliation for them meeting on the burial cellebration. i assume the plot will now shift towards the gang battles and we will see who the next victim will be. With the boss wanting cooper to stay and Coopers high ground position in the case, there is no murder of passion for a girl you do not know yet/ accident or now impossible to proof, she would have to blame wrong tools in use with all witnesses dead except the plaintiff, which still would lead to a failure of the oil pump machinery which could be adressed as "failure of maintenance" there is little to no beef for that storyarc.

No, but that WAS the idea of them being there. Unless the National Guard pulls out now, the Cartel is no longer an MTex problem...though I do think they'll go for one of Tommy's family members, like Ainsley, and I was terrified for BBT when he sat in that truck and lit his cigarette after leaving the bar - like the truck was about to explode.
