You should message Glenn Morgan about your views of this film. The man deserves to know how much a person like you values this movie.

2006 Black Christmas paid more respect to the original than the horrific 2019 remake

Director-wise, this movie is beautiful and so well shot. It’s a real shame he didn’t stick around in horror or film in general.

I took my little sister to see this in theaters and it was one of the best experiences we ever had. The crowd was really into it and maybe made it better than it was.

I remember going to see this movie on Christmas night in 2006. I loved it and I completely agree that it doesn't deserve all the hate it's gotten over the years.

This is one of my all time favorite movies! I remember following it as it was filmed. Thank you so much for making this video. I agree with absolutely everything you said. I just finished watching the movie for the 10+ time tonight and I was so happy to see that you had just uploaded this yesterday! I actually tweeted Kristen Cloke (Glen's wife and Leigh in the film) last year saying how much I love the film, and to tell Glen that even though he may not be the biggest fan of it, it does have a cult following of people who adore it and his work. She actually tweeted back saying thank you and she would indeed tell him! I hope he sees your video!!! It truly is a beautiful film. Yes it has its flaws, but that's part of its charm. From the beautiful cinematography, imaginative camera work, fun characters and impressive CAST, insane story, throwbacks to the original, gory and disgusting kills, perfect soundtrack and just the Christmas atmosphere of the film, Black Christmas is one of my favorite all time guilty pleasures. I'm thankful to own the short-lived Canadian released Bluray, and I actually live 30 minutes from the sorority house here in Vancouver. I should take a stroll through the neighborhood and make a video of it all!

I love Black Xmas 2006! It just oozes atmosphere, subverts expectations and keeps you on your toes, and doesn’t pull any punches with it’s kills! So much fun! Though there was never an official US blu ray release, I’m proud to own a blu ray of this that was actually ripped by a fan off the hd-dvd release and repackaged as a blu ray, thanks to Etsy! Until I got it, I enjoyed my Blockbuster Exclusive dvd for many years, watching it every Christmas. Always had a blast watching it!!

I bought this on a whim on DVD back in 2007 and I’ve rewatched it so many times. It’s such an enjoyable film with an excellent cast and still holds up really well. It shows how directors should properly do a remake!

Completely agree with this take; I think I even saw it 2x in theaters. The Christmas-cookies scene always stuck with me because of how awesomely disturbing it was.

I love how you’re hitting all of these great horror-remakes from the 2000’s. I’m curious what you think of The Hills Have Eyes remake. It’s easily my favorite and most memorable from that batch.

Chris is one of the few big YouTubers who's using his influence to shout out for creators & that's just amazingly rare! Thank you for this.

The cast alone was reason enough for me to watch this back then, I didn't understand the hate it got either considering what we'd eventually get with the remake-remake lol

It's tolerable around the first hour, YES but the final twenty minutes are a trainwreck. Spoilers below:

First, how the hell did Billy manage to escape the house with only half his face burnt? We clearly hear him screaming as he being burned alive. Second, how shitty security does a hospital have when Billy & Agnes get inside the body bags? Third and probably the most stupid part. How is it that Billy manage to to get impaled by that christmas tree? He doesn't fall that far to begin with. Even the falling ice death scene made more sense...

7:15 i knew Chris would bring this up The weird angles and hard cuts male The murder scenes be strangely actually kind of frightening

And the cinematography by Robert McLachlan is gorgeous, I always brought up this film for how colorful and candy like it is

Can we also point out that Christmas is actually an aesthetic in this film? With the 2019 film, you barely even notice it's Christmas time.
