I live in a country where it snows for six months during year and I would much rather live in a condo because I don't have to worry about shovelling the snow.

I think the biggest thing is walkability. Whether I choose to remain single or have a family, I don’t want them to suffer in the loneliness, isolation and lack of community that comes with living glued to the screen of our phones, in car dependent unwalkable suburbia. You forgot about privacy. Single family homes provide way more privacy away from other people. Single family homes are the king to home types. Nothing beats it and I’ve lived in townhomes, condos and apartments and they all were a pain in the ass. Single families are definitely the most ideal way to go 100% for sure.
