# 16 Kill Guys with Games Reading review activity for younger students

I often change the rules on this game or add rules for additional di numbers.
1: erase
2: save
3: Paper Scissors Stone
4: take (someone from the other team)
5: roll a number and erase the person with that number on another team. I number the kids.
6: choose any option

With little kids I replace names with coloured circles. I also make simple rules
1: erase one:
2: erase two
3: draw one circle
4 draw two circles
5: take one circle
6: take two circles
PSS could also replace any rule also.

Using coloured circles avoids the kids picking on specific kids. It also allows the children to quickly come up and do the action themselves. Erase, draw etc. You can also play with multiple teams if you have a large class. Use four different coloured markers.

I prefer not to eliminate people from the game or being able to speak since I only teach grade 1-3. I find if I have teams I can get the children to speak a lot of English in teams and practice more English.

Very smart! The killing gimmick is a great incentive for making kids participate in otherwise more boring activities. If I have very low participation levels, I'll try to use this. I think it's a guarantee of kids getting more involved in the class.

instead of asking students to choose, you can give them a dice, roll it and what they get is what they do. cus I assume all of them would choose KILL.
