I would love to have a video explaining the different types of wood used in the videos. Maybe whats easier to split, whats difficult, and maybe whats most useful. Also what causes the differences.

Love it. The shorter Halder Simplex with a diameter of 50mm is a very popular tool for bricklayers here in Germany. same construction. lasts forever. has never failed, no matter how hard you beat him.

I've been waiting for you to try this one. Another interesting maul not available in the U.S. is the Muller 5kg (11 pound) German pattern maul. I love the German pattern mauls but they are almsot always 6.6 pounds and I've always wanted to see that head design in the 8 pound range but the 11 pound Muller would be interesting to see that head design scaled up. Its hard to find mauls in the double digit weight range as they are usually just the cheap crappy triangular heads welded to a steel pipe. Muller also has a 7.5kg or 16.5 pound monster.

I don't personally do the rotating swing. I just lift the maul and bring it down with triceps for increased accuracy with my swings. I may need to try this one out
