What is the universe expanding into?

That is… not how it works. The universe is contained, and between the containment system and the edge of the universe (combining the known and the unknown), there is a stretch of what can be considered “space”; but, it isn't really “space”, as there is no matter capable of occupying it at the celestial scale; a person could traverse this “space”, and possibly a personal ship, something small enough could traverse the void, but what awaits on the far side of the void differs from one individual to another; some view it as abstract geometry, others see it as a mirrored universe, some see it as a specific setting; sometimes it's a park, or a science lab, or a rooftop balcony, but always somewhere to exist over time.

It is where the higher dimensions exist, as you escape from the confines of the event horizon of the compressive force we are enveloped in; we are trapped in a black hole heretofore unfathomed in both size and magnitude; the higher dimensional beings were originally surprised to learn anything had survived in their experiment, much less survived this long, long enough to gain enough ability to evolve a way to establish contact with them; compared to their own methodologies, our communication method is crude, and vulgar, but they are surprisingly capable of understanding our energy fluctuations; in other words, they can hear our thoughts, when they are focused enough to listen to these fluctuations in energy, charting out our message from harmonic electro-conductive resonance cascading through our neuronal pathways; in layman's terms, they read the electricity in our brain as we think at them the words we want to say, the intention doesn't change, even when the language changes.
