TRICK EXPLANATION

You may have already discovered the method used to do the trick in the video. The secret lies in the number of cards used. It seems like only five cards were in play; actually nine different cards were used.

In the beginning, five cards were shown and you chose one. Your card was then apparently removed.

However, the four cards shown after the removal were not from the original five. In fact, not only was your card removed, all five of the original cards were removed and replaced with four different cards. Therefore any card chosen at the beginning would seem to have been removed.
