DJI Phantom 2V+ Crash caused by Mounting of GPS Tracker
Показать описание
Did you ever had the idea to mount a GPS Tracker to your Copter - for 'safety reasons'? Good Idea......additional weight for your copter only some grams - negligible- your Phantom 2 Vision plus can carry about 1.2 kg....shouldn't be a Problem......
But..... be careful where you intend to mount it...
In this case shown in the video, the 'Special and simple' kind of mounting led to a totally unexpected crash..., fortunately into a wheat field, which slowed the crash.
Why did this happen? Wind Influence / one or two blasts in about 40 m height (on the ground almost no wind) forced the the tracker to swing, balancing attempts of the Copter electronics however, failed and made the situation even worse. Ultimately the different thrusts of the propeller (trying to compensate the commuting, with skew up to 45 *) - at the expense of climbing capabilities - and the copter was falling rapidly down with nice swinging... All full throttle did not help .... in the dense wheat field, there was no damage fortunately neither to the Gimbal nor to the Copter, and .....
....thanks to Tracker data via GPS / SMS (though this 'thing' caused the crash / sorry, my fault...) the lost and hidden copter was rediscovered exactly and immediately at the shown GPS map Point deep in the vast field...
So...don't underestimate the pendulum capacities of a light-weighted-59grams-GPS-Tracker, if there is any wind in the height....even with the Phantom 2 Vision+ capability to carry about 1.2 kg (!)....The solution i found....but watch the video......
Thanks a lot to Julian the "Hitman9108" for helping......
