How To FAKE MOTION Using Blur Filters In Affinity Photo

The great thing is that with live blur filters we can work non-destructive, meaning that you apply the effect on a separate layer and are able to mask out the effect from specific areas.

In this example I will add movement to a photo of my stationary camper, but of course you can do this to any (side perspective) photo of any vehicle.

Another great tutorial -- thanks Rens. I love your enthusiasm -- if only some of the other tut. makers looked as though they were enjoying their work so much!
A little suggestion, maybe for a more advanced tutorial. The motion blur would be stronger nearer the viewer and weaker further away, because of parallax. If we duplicate the background so the underlying layer has no blur, we could apply a gradient to the blurred layer so the effect reduces the further up the image -- and so the further away the background.
