Credo III • English Transcription

Beginning in Lent 2022, St. John the Evangelist Parish in Goshen, IN will begin chanting CREDO III (in English) in accordance with the wishes of the council fathers and St. Pope Paul VI (cf. Jubilate Deo!). This edition was transcribed, played & sung by James J. Richardson.

i am impressed with this rendition. I hope you are going to compile the translations and musical notations. Most people don't know Latin. I could say anything and they would think its wonderful. This preserves the tradition in the language of the common man

This is simply beautiful. By far the best I have ever heard. Have you made Missa de Angelis in English too? It goes excellently with Credo III I think.

Beautiful adaptation of the chant to English! I have attempted adapting some Latin chants to English and I know it’s not easy. This is perfect and doesn’t feel wrong or awkward in any places, well done! The accompaniment is beautiful too. Will you ever publish the organ accompaniment?
