BRANSON -- Branson police officers have arrested a man on suspicion of arson.
Around 10 a.m. on March 29, Branson Police Officers responded to a fire at the Star Theater in Branson. The Branson Fire Department quickly extinguished the small fire, which resulted in little damage.
After further investigation, fire investigators and police detectives discovered evidence that the fire was intentionally set. Other suspicious fires have occurred in the area over the last month and a half.
The investigation developed a person of interest from prior patrol contacts. A 23-year-old male was arrested after being questioned regarding the fires.
He was booked in Taney County Jail.
