How Much Power Does a High-Mileage V10 BMW E60 M5 Make?

In this episode, we do a bit of work on project X5, 2008 E70 4.8i, and project Raleigh, 2007 E60 M5 with a 6-speed manual. The X5 gets a new A/C compressor & condenser, and front wheel bearings. The E60 M5 gets a fresh oil change, new starter, brake fluid and clutch line flush, purge valves, new blower fan and resistor, and soft-touch plastic removal. Then we go for a nice drive and end up on a dyno to see how much power the 5.0L S85 V10 engine with 246k km (153k miles) makes! Also, the dojo gets another Bendpak 2-post lift!

The S85 with the carbon plenums is absolutely insane sounding! Excellent video as always Sreten. Thank you for bringing us along!

When a YouTube video is 15 minutes I usually can't be bothered to watch until the end. When Sreten uploads a video I'm disappointed it's just 43 minutes. Keep up the good work Sreten! Hands down the best car channel on YouTube

The answer to your issue at the 13min mark is a sensor beside the rear view mirror. It is the front wind screen condensation sensor. It is broken which the car takes to mean there is high humidity present / condensation. So it calls for heat via the wind screen. Cheap and relatively simple to replace this sensor and should address your issue. (took me a while to figure out on a 645ci!)

Only person on YT that I’ve seen that take so much care in rebuilding cars and maintaining them afterwards. Always following repair manuals and never forgetting to clean everything.

What an awesome sound! Back from the good old days when BMW was in Formula 1 with Williams F1!

For the heater issue try to check the “fog” sensor on the windshield. I had the same problem with my E92, the windshield was replaced and they damaged the sensor. I never realized the car had it, it senses the moisture on the windscreen. If it thinks it’s fogged up, the auto setting prioritizes the top vents for hot air. Could be your problem as wel, worth a try :)

What makes this channel so good is not just the fact that you are so knowledgable and a great mechanic but listening to you talk makes it that bit better. Another great video to watch and the V10 sounds amazing!

I cannot see another YouTube channel doing what he's doing. I watched him rebuild the epina engine multiple times and I didn't get bored

Awesome video as usual. Can’t wait to see the E92 M3, as I have an E92 335i N54, so it has a special place in my heart. Stay safe brother, love the content. Love from Australia

The fact that the car used a quarter of a tank in just 55km is just hilarious. Love the M5.

Finally found a real honest BMW knows what he is doing fanatic and technician. Love this channel. And being a BMW owner now for many years we know it's not as hard as people make it. And coming from a naturally born person from Germany one has more faith in what your knowledge has to teach. Thank You Sr. Continue the great work you do..!

Favourite channel at the moment. I was in a big car accident a month back when a van drove over me and have been since in a hospital (and will be another month+). So Ive been watching your old videos again and this upload really made my day and made me not think about this pain all the time. Thanks
