As someone who has struggled with depressive mood / thoughts and anxious worries since childhood, this song really speaks to me, though I only discovered this song in middle school. And as someone who also has been writing lyrics since then as a form of escapism this is truly one of the very few songs I wished I would have written. It perfectly encapsulates the feelings or worry and restlessness, which I very much suffer from often. I swear this man and his lyrics always struck a cord in me. (no pun intended)
