I am surprised to hear the Congressman say Harris was ‘sent to the border’. The job she was given had nothing to do with closing or upgrading the border. She was sent to the countries south of the border to help organise programs that would encourage people to stay home. What she did worked. However, most of the immigrants starting coming from countries further south, so she was pulled out of that task while the problem was reassessed.
The border policy that was bipartisan when it was coming to a vote on the ‘floor’ was shot down by Trump telling the MAGA people in the House of Reps (where Republicans had the majority) not to vote for it so he could use it in the coming election.
I was surprised you guys went along with the issue as a ‘negative’ for Harris.
