Katakekrymeni - Portokalousa // Κατακεκρυμμένης - Πορτοκαλούσας // Argos, Άργος // GREECE // 2023

This church/monastery is located below the medieval acropolis of Argos, Larissa. It is also popularly called the Virgin Mary because there is an icon of her that is hidden in a cave under the church. The icon was hidden due to security from the Turkish military action that took place in 1803. Those "lost" or "hidden" icons have been found today.
