To all of you complaining about promotion video obviously are not in way interested in the product its self. Quark has been around for 40 years. This peace of software helped me a lot in my carrier and i'm glad they're still around and to the developers of Quark...good work and keep it up. And to rest of you never judge the book by it's cover.

I'm sad and annoyed that Quark has switched over to a yearly subscription model too - just like InDesign. The subscription trap is the very reason why we left Adobe. Too bad that Quark felt it had to go the same route.

The interface works disgustingly: the palettes are jumping, resizing, stretching and obliquely arranged. Switching between palettes and tabs jerky, takes a few seconds. Rendering pages (especially with graphics, drop shadows and transparency) is terrible: panning, scrolling and moving jerky, with delays and flickering of the screen. All this on modern hardware, where all other software works fast and smoothly. And all this for many years in the version for Windows. If the developers do not drastically improve the UI in the coming months, it will mean the death of QuarkXPress. Unfortunately for the market and users who suffer every day for many years.
