The first rule of Secret Denmark is we don’t talk about Secret Denmark.

The second rule is we write our name as big as possible on every map so everyone knows how big of a secret we are.

This is perhaps the best borders and overall alternate history I've seen from a mega campaign. Most of them seem super interesting, but end up being unwatchable because too much crazy shit happens that I can immerse myself into a world I can't believe. This had crazy stuff too, but not enough that I couldn't watch it. It was good.

Also, you edited it very well, and used quite nice graphics mods to make it look even better.

Also, thank you for showing the election map ode in Vic2. It was just a nice little detail for further immersion and context.

It was strange to see that Russia was absolutely passive in Victoria 2, but it lasted until the moment when the results were shown - Russia was building a powerful economy all this time, building industry. For the first time I see such behavior in Russian AI.

Russia is not as big as in our reality, but it certainly managed to crown itself as the superpower of Europe.

I've noticed that the AI keeps deleting the Byzantine Empire title in a ton of recent time lapses and my own games, why is this?

My favorite megacampaign yet. Immortal Byzantine Empire became a relic of the past, slowly declining until being ravaged by ideologies and revolutions in the 1800's, eventually becoming the sick man of Europe (akin to Ottomans) until finally being conquered by Russia in WWII. It all looks plausible, although I'd like seeing more independent states in the New World.

I've been doing a mega-campaign too, but don't have good enough PC for HOI4. I started with a random map in CK2 as Morea (province), slowly becoming the Byzantine and the Roman empire. I conquered regions from modern day Egypt, France, Balkans, Persia, Arabia, Khazaria, eventually granting them independence. Some nations such as Finland also converted to Hellenic. The end result is majority of Europe and the Middle-East being Reformed Hellenic, apart from massive Denmark, divided British isles, massive France (that is located in modern day Germany, cause of culture shift) and divided Spain, that are all catholic.

Currently, I'm in my third run of EU4 from this setup. I've been testing and making mods to it, in order to optimize the game for Vic 2 conversion. Cores are permanent, so separatism is more likely and new countries pop up (prestige hit from uncontested cores is lower). Responsible blobbing, and "make war great again" mod. Reasonable historical direction + rebalance technology spread (to keep ROTW technologically behind, and make colonization slower). Limited natives. My newest additions are more war score from battles, and eclipse of empires (great powers have events that increase the chance of an eclipse disaster, where revolt risk is 20 and they often break apart.), which I edited to fire only after 1690, so that late game, colonial nations might collapse and their colonies in the New World become independent. I'm also making a mod where pagan nations such as Hellenic, have a likelihood of converting to Christian during the age of reformation. I'd also like a mod that would remove mission trees and bring back decision based missions, like in the past, but I don't have enough knowledge in modding to do that. The mission trees just don't work with such highly randomized setup.

So far, the end results have been promising.

Hungary replacing romania is so cursed…

Wouldn't it make more sense for the HRE to be divided into the kingdoms that were formed in CK3 instead of the usual tiny duchies?

It's better than our timeline because Byzantines survived

How is no one talking about how Austria just turned into Africa

A pitty the Rome one was not used, nor the Stellaris one. I was also hoping that somehow a cold war and modern day mod could be used with the saves ending in the year HoI normally ends.

Overly close to OTL for my taste. While I do appreciate less bordergore than usual, the lack of the best part of CK3 (massive culture change) greatly upsets me. I know this is that "historical railroad" mod for ck3, and where are of people who like them, I genuinely despise them. Still, it is refreshing to see a modded megacampaign
