This is a remarkable place that is not for the novice hiker or backpacker. It is an excellent overnight trip and afterward, you can check out everything else Escalante has to offer.

Does anybody know of a YouTube channel aimed at people who read and rely on satellite and topographical maps to make their way across great expanses which have no roads or paths? I've noticed there are a lot of YouTube channels like this one that help people in their quest to traverse well-worn paths like the Appalachian Trail etc, but nothing for people like me who have experience in and are willing to climb mountains, cross deserts and bodies of water to arrive at a destination after weeks in the wilderness/abyss... My experience doing this started when large areas of the remote part of Queensland (three times the size of Texas) I lived in flooded and became inaccessible by road.
