I’m a retired U.S. Army Airborne Infantry Senior NCO who lives in Panama 🇵🇦. I live about a mile from the port of Balboa on the Pacific entrance to the canal, and have lived here since 2010. I also have friends that work for the canal. I’m saying all this to establish that I know what I’m talking about. The Chinese are NOT in charge of the canal. They are NOT trying to take over the canal. EVERYBODY here is scratching their heads and wondering just what in the world he is talking about. Bottom line, he is totally incorrect about the Chinese and the canal. He needs to get a better staff to look into these things because it is making him look ignorant and foolish, which he is not.
