Volkswagen Schwimmwagen

Please keep in mind: this was the old car's first time in for a long time. This was a test. We wanted to capture the moment for posterity, and maybe share it with a few people. Please keep that in mind.

Unique Volkswagen swimming car, semi-based off the Beetle chassis. We don't go very far in, as we took in about a gallon of water in that short amount of time.

I used to have a VW that thought it could swim. Unfortunately, it could dive too, and remains on the bottom until this day.

I love Volkswagen. I have almost every aircooled VW model on my HO layout. Schwimmwagen, Hebmueller, Type 34 & Karmann Ghia's, Bugs, Things, Buses, Pickups, and Campers roam the layout. Good video. ♡ T.E.N.

A Schwimmwagen is made for rough treatment and will stand it. Even after all this years, but you have to maintain it properly. It is German military technology from the time our industry designed and made good things.

all this machine needs is a good clean at the carburettor and some cleaning and replacing in the spark ignition system ! well done nice machine !

Loved this!!! when i was a young boy my grand father had 2 at his place on MV one ran the other was more of a hang out for the chickens, but i remember always wanting to go for a ride id love to dig them out some day, Thanks!
