I like how in the first scene not only the electronics stop working,
but somehow brakes don't work in cars anymore and airplane is sucked to the ground by increased gravity or something.

When an airliner crashes outside your school and explodes in a fireball, you back away from the window - at the very least. You don't stand there with your face pressed up against the glass - which, at such a short distance from the resulting explosions - would have shattered. Badly done.

for those of you who dont know. EMP will not kill a plane like that, all planes dont fly, they are self propeled gliders. with no power you can still glide 3 times the altitude of the plane ahead, the problem is finding where to land, people dont realize how much hills, mountains and slopes there are on earth.
