the bar on the back is most likely the status light pipe and not any of the things you mentioned. also the area above the camera is most likely air intake. I don't think this model will have any obstacle avoidance system. but these are just my thoghts as an engineer.

I like that it has a two axis gimbal so the panning will look more attached, this looks awesome! I was about to go over to the NYC Dji store and maybe pick up a mavic or a p4p but I started feeling sick so looks like I'm staying in today :/

Maybe if the Spark is coming out for this summer, maybe the Crystalsky screens will come out then too along with the goggles? I would really need to get the screen, the LG Stylo 2 phone I have keeps crashing every flight. Cool to know DJI is making drones suited for everyone!

This won't have folding arms. Fixed frame. I imagine this will be marketed as a race drone, possibly with plug and play parts so swapping out a motor or esc could be done in the field, without soldering. If DJI jumps into the race market, they will take it over. It's ripe for a company like DJI to start making racing parts that are easier to install, swap out, which will allow for more people to get into racing. I really hope that's what the Spark is the start of.

My guess is that "price point" and "ruggedness" will be key design objectives which will dictate that the legs will not be able to be folded. The package is already small. As this type of drone will probably be used indoors, as well as outdoors, I would expect that there will be a "tripod" mode that seriously limits speeds for x, y, z and YAW movement. This will make it a nice "training" drone for indoors.

As this is a prototype obviously, they may add the object avoidance sensors, and other things. Liability is a huge issue, and I think that sensors are going to come standard on all drones in the future
