Welcome to Coffee Walk Ep. 137!
There's been so much happening at Collins Bros Jeep this week that I decided this morning that I would walk around the shop and show you guys a little bit of (mostly) everything that we've got going on right now. We've got our Black Mountain Jeep Abercrombie Brother's dropping a HEMI in a JKU Wrangler, finishing up several BLKMTN conversation builds and just being full-on awesome. We've also got a cosmetic CJ Renegade restoration, a freshly serviced 05' LJ about to hit the lot and a 1970 CJ5 in Spring Green with 882 actual miles on it!

Thank y'all for coming along for the ride with us every week on Coffee Walk. My crew and I at CBJEEP truly love what we do and have really been enjoying growing a platform with you guys to share it all on.

As always… GO FAST, HAVE FUN & HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!! and thanks for watching!

70’ CJ The gas pedal music made me laugh out loud. Nice touch. A gorgeous rig.

My dad bought a 1967 CJ5, red with white steel top with the Buick V6.
Drove it through high school and trade school. 👍🏻

Love how casual this is, im sure the viewers and myself included would love casual walk arounds once a week if you dont have a build being finished. Its fun to see the progress of other stuff.

I was actually never a Jeep fan. Until Dennis came along. This guy is so knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

There is no way you can not love him.

Man, I love that 1970 CJ! Takes me back to my days as a youth when things were simpler and people were nicer. Now everyone wants to be a bad ass with an "angry" grill. In the 70's we were more inclined to be good guys instead of bad boys.
On that note I'd like to say, Dennis, I first saw you on Gas Monkey many years ago and you seemed like a pretty decent guy. After watching your channel now for some time I am of the same opinion. You treat your employees well and I bet you have a very low turnover rate. You also don't try to hammer sellers on price and give them a fair deal. It is nice to see someone of your caliber on the internet. If I won the lottery I'd have you build me a Jeep just to do business with you!

I've got a 74 CJ5. It is great to see an old CJ5 like this one in such good condition

Seeing the ‘70 CJ5 really reminds me of the CJ5 Dad bought new in 1965. Green body with the white top, only it was I believe a Tuxedo Park Mark 4 or 5, with a 3spd on the column. I still have the original green pads that went above the rear wheel wells on the inside & the original seat belts, still in the box they came in from the factory. I guess Dad must’ve ordered them after getting the Jeep & they came into the dealers parts department. It was great to see that color combination & stir up some good memories!

Hi Denis and crew. reaching out from Auckland New Zealand. Been a massive fan going back to the start with Mr R.R. I really enjoy your mannerism, and how you draw in your audience. I am a builder / Project Manager. And I always say "projects are only brick and mortar, it's the team that leaves the memories" take care from NZ.

On the 1970 CJ5 the Dauntless 225 V6 was actually manufactured by Jeep from 1968 to 1971. AMC sold the tooling and rights back to GM in 1974. Buick put it back into production in the fall of 1974 upping the displacement to 231ci as it used their 350 V8's pistons.

Love the CJ5, I had one from the 70s when I lived in Brazil, what a rig, it would go anywhere.

That 70 belongs in a museum, absolutely awesome.

That '70 Jeep.... amazing how the human brain works.... seeing it brought back memories of building a 1/25 model kit of it right around right down to the paint l used to paint it and the color. And the temper tantrum l threw when my sister later stepped on it and crushed it. If this had been brought up in casual conversation, l would have had no recollection, but seeing the CJ there in your shop triggered a long stored memory.

Man, I love your channel. Been driving Jeeps since the 1970’s. The first Jeep I bought was a ‘65 CJ5 Tuxedo Park, it had a Kelly hardtop and Kelly self locking hubs. Had a CJ 7 with a 304, a Scrambler, a 95 YJ. My current Jeep is a 03 TJ Freedom. Keep saving those Jeeps!

I like the Buick Jeep, back in 79 I was stationed at Loring AFB Maine and had a Wagoneer that had a Buick engine in it, it was a blast especially way up in northern Maine.
