Excellent Resource. I've been struggling with learning ES on my own for a while. I installed the whole stack, played around with all of it, RTFM, skimmed through 2 books (def guide + learning ES 6), but I was truly lacking some comprehensive, step by step, in depth, structured material and clear educational learning resource. I took the full course without any hesitation (Although I mostly rely on myself usually). I benefited from the incredible 90% discount. The course is worth much much more. As a trainer myself I find Frank Kane super clear and straight to the point, making complex notions feel simple. This saved me invaluable time. 1000 Thanks.

By far the best explanation for elastic search I heard. Thanks

Cool stuff indeed. A 6.5 min no non-sense picture of ES architecture. Cannot get simpler than this. Thanks for the clarity.

Fabulous explanation. The only one that made sense to me.

What about node type (master, data, ingest)?

I have one doubt in Elasticsearch storage, where the indexes are stored and where the log files are stored in Elasticsearch.

what about index? I thought node contains a index which contains shards.

There is no elastic search architecture specific in this video.... these are common partitioning and replication techniques that you would find in most MPP database

I got so sick and tired of hearing instructors with foreign accent on youtube trying to learn things. It's nice to hear proper English. I speak with foreign accent too, it's not very PC, but it's true. Peace.
