Lightspace Laser Light Bar Repair

In this video I will be repairing some minor issues on a Lightspace Laser light bar. Repairs include installing a new interlock key switch, status LED, collimating lens, and general optics cleaning. In addition to repairs I also added cover glass to the open can red Laser diodes which increases there lifespan.

These are some of the best Laser light bars made and a treat to look inside of. Each Laser ( 8 RGB outputs in total ) can be controlled independently and allows for a wide range of stationary Laser beam effects.

The song at the end is created by my good friend and there is no online source for that. Enjoy it on the video as much as you can!

Very impressed with your knowledge Master Zeno. I’m glad I discovered the channel and subsequently had my Lightspace laser repaired by you. The videos are great 👍

Dude, I just got done building an adjustable current source for my laser diode, after watching your tutorials from years ago. Its great to see youre still uploading! Cheers from Texas!

Nice - strong looking beams. I would love doing some art with them at a rave, with just red beams

I had no idea those laser bar units were so robust inside! It's such an overcomplicated product line for what it does, but I can see why Lightspace favored the modular design with minimal optics considering how abused most touring equipment becomes after years of use. Now I want one just for the parts LOL. That's a lotta' diodes and housings mmmm :)

I'm impressed that you can realign those lenses before the glue goes off. Ive no idea how you are controlling that but its quite neat although I much prefer the gyro based systems. Having said that Ive never been to a nightclub etc in my life and at 68 I have no intention of starting but I do like lasers :)

@14:58 Yep. That's how it happens. The benefit from this is that component is now less likely to fail during a live performance. Continued success and safety.

hows the divergence on these bars and what do you think would be the estimate power output of each beam - can they do medium sized indoor venues with a 5-10k capacity?

Nice mate! how much power puts out each aperture for that unit?

Ahh new camera! Or was it the phone that was borked? 🙈 I've never seen so many connectors in one place! Someone really was sloppy repairing that the last time

How come you can get a blue laser here but all "blue" laser pens are purple...

You ever break one of those microscope slips? I'm sure my thumb still contains some 🙈
