Those strap toggles work extremely well, they are what a lot of what the the large AV companies use to install TVs where studs are not available in commercial buildings

When I pay a few grand for a tv I want it mounted to studs. Just saying.

I always have at least one stud. If the owner leaves the ac off for a week or more the sheetrock looses alot of stiffness and those anchors may fail. I've seen it happen

We use these and have 4, 50 inch TVs mounted next to each other they work great!

Only use drywall anchors when studs are too far which is very few. Now these come in handy with frame tv and frame mounts

Or you could drill into the studs and have it properly mounted.

Those are hiltys. Pro tip. Turn the screw in counter clock wise first until you hear a click. Then you proceed to screw in and they will never fail. The instructions say to do so. If you dont do this they will fail and you have to cut them out and start over.

I totally agree with this method. These anchors are amazing!! I’ve hung large tv with em and they work great. No need for a stud!!

Anyone else imagine the meme where the Tv wall mount and Sheetrock are a perfect stress square around it wall mount is one tv and mount is on Sheetrock but it peels off the studs

I do a horizontal 1x12 to mount to no way in trusting sheet rock. I could fart and it’ll crack. I’d be losing sleep every night after this one waiting til I have to buy her a new tv

Why not grab a 3/4 inch peice of plywood, mount it with 10 strap toggles and mount the tv mount to that? Very unlikely that's tearing off the wall.

You should read the box. They’re only good for a 40 pound TV that can be no farther than 6 inches from the wall. The rating it gives has many stipulations. I know because I just bought a box of them after watching your video.

WHY? I use to hang tv too the reason they give you that big old mounting plate is so you can catch 2 studs I don't care how fool proof your strap toggles are there is no comparison between screwing into a stud period. If you buy a proper tv mount you will never ever need strap toggles + it's extra work to put in strap toggles when you can just screw right into the studs 🤷‍♂️

I have metal studs in my wall not sure where they are. I got 4 of those anchors is that enough for a 75 inch TV?

Studs are over rated. I’ve mounted 85” TV on drywall with 8 toggle bolts and that TV ain’t moving.
