Rhodes have just released the first official VST version of a Rhodes piano. It is so good, they are offering to give one lucky person a copy if they can tell us which is the V8 VST and which is the MK8.

I will be post 4 of these blind test video, so you will have 4 chances to win.

1.b is the real thing. It has a more dynamic sound and has more low end extension. 1.a is the plug-in. It has a lil bit more distortion applied and is more mid frequency focused. Both sound great!

Yeah the first Example is the real Rhodes, bit grittier and digs in a bit more.. Second one sounds great too but I reckon maybe doesnt have the range of dynamic that the first one displays.. Would love to get tthe VST though, cant afford the real thing at this stage..

1a is the virtual instrument, 1b is the actual Rhodes V8

I don't know which is which, but they sound drastically different. Not sure why the guy thinks it wouldn't be easy to tell the difference.

1.b is the live rhodes. 1.a is the vst.

I think that Example 1.a is the real piano that the plugin is based on.

I think the first one (1a) is the plugin, and the second (1b) is the real instrument.
