Amazfit GTR 3 vs GTS 3 | Budget Watch Review & Comparison

Reviewing the Amazfit GTR 3 and GTS 3, two fresh budget friendly smartwatches (launched alongside the Pro) offering Alexa support, fitness tracking and some of the best battery life in 2021. I've been testing the Amazfit GTS 3 and GTR 3 for a couple of weeks so here's a comparison and in-depth tour!

Zepp OS isn't the most intuitive smartwatch UI around and can be a little janky, but you get full notifications support and customisation. Both the Amazfit GTR3 and GTS3 sport a decent selection of apps, as well as an AMOLED screen, and mic for Alexa support. However, there's no speaker, no GPS, no music storage and a few other premium features found on rivals like the Fossil and Huawei watches are MIA.

You can always upgrade to the Amazfit GTR 3 Pro if you want the full feature set, but these watches offer solid fitness tracking and the best battery life around.

Awesome review, thank you! I bought the GT3 PRO and I am blown away, it is by miles the best smartwatch I have used on Android. It blows the Ticwatch PRO 3 I used earlier this year out of the water in any area they overlap on. Of course, these watches don´t offer all the "smart" features, but I could not care less. To me, this is the perfect compromise between functionality, performance, design and battery life. Recommended!

TBH, I am quite sure GTR 3 and GTS 3 do have GPS tracking built-in.
That blinking GPS icon was probably because it was not able to catch GPS indoors ;)

I love amazfit because of the battery life. I have the GTS 2 MINI rated at 14 days. The watch uses about 10% per day. 5 days easily.

Nice review style and personality but I feel this review doesn't compare the two enough and focuses too much on just the GTR 3. I think GTS is thinner which was a big reason for me to choose it and you really need to correct the mistake of stating it has no built-in GPS. Otherwise I enjoyed the style and info, thanks!

Got a gts 2..I get a week out of it with all things on and sleeping tracking. Love it. And they are cheeper now as the "3" versions are out... love you (mackem lol)

I have the bip fit u pro which is absolutely excellent. I can't believe how good amazfit watches are for the price.

What I would like to see is a follow up vid after a year or so after software and firmware updates. I would imagine these two watches are vastly different since launch.

I ordered the GTR 3 and am looking forward to trying it. I have a Samsung Watch 4, no speaker on it. Don't care about that. I have my phone on me constantly when walking, hiking and have an arm sleeve to hold my phone when I run so controlling what music is played is enough for me. From the reviews I read and seen the accuracy of steps, HR and Blood Ox are close, remember these are not medical devices. The more expensive watches like to portray themselves as med devices but they are not.
