Cuomo calls out Kavanaugh for denied handshake

CNN's Chris Cuomo criticizes Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh for failing to interact with the father of a slain Parkland student, Fred Guttenberg, and White House deputy press secretary Raj Shah's defense of his actions.

Here's how bad this is: Trump, on his worst day, wouldn't have left the guy's hand hanging in mid-air. Kavanaugh stood there and made a conscious decision not to shake the man's hand -- those few seconds showed us he puts politics over basic human decency. That tells us more about the judge than anything that will come out of the confirmation hearing.

It would definitely be an uncomfortable situation but just dissing him and walking away and not at least saying his condolences or his daughter is not justice-like. He may have different opinions especially on gun control but it costs 0$ to be a good person, that is open to speaking with everyone, that’s what a justice is like.

What would Kavanaugh have said anyway..I've been bought and paid for by the NRA? Not likely. I think it's good for people to see that he's out of touch with reality, and the laws he plans to enforce may hurt real people. Kavanaugh coaching his kid's basketball games behind big iron gates in his community..like that is some badge of honor that makes him a human father. Half my street has parents who coach or volunteer their time to their kids' extra curricular activities. They don't nearly come to tears about it to help get a better job. Fred, you're a good man that has to live with the unthinkable. Kavanaugh didn't deserve to shake your hand.
