Triumph Rocket 3 GT Triple Black, first impressions, raw sound. Welcome to Black Beauty.

Hi folks, today I just took delivery of the latest bike in the Grey Wolf stable. It took a bit of effort to source the bike in this particular colour option. A 2021 model Triumph Rocket 3 GT Triple Black, limited to 1,000 bikes Worldwide.
The bike had one careful owner prior to me and had 1,300 miles on the clock.

I initially weighed up the benefits/differences between the R and GT models. Trying each for comfort and ergonomics. The more relaxed riding position on the GT appealed to me, as did the swept back easier to reach handlebars. Initially when I saw the Black R and Triple Black GT, I wasn't sure whether I preferred the bolder, more stand out pipes of the standard models 🤔 However, upon reflection the dark mysterious looks of the Blacked out models won not just me but also Mrs Wolf over.

The black R version has a Matt black tank with gloss black either side of the centre band. Something about the Triple Black appealed more to me, plus the fact it's the GT model. I have to give thanks to Lee its previous owner from new. He looked after the bike well and also was patient while the purchase and delivery arrangements were sorted out.

My first impressions upon its delivery were that it was a stunning looking impressive Beast of a machine. Hence I chose the name Black Beauty. Upon starting her up to ride off for the first time I noticed that she wasn't as tame exhaust note wise as some reviewers had put across. A hearty deep rumble is present especially upon acceleration and the throttle back burbles are addictive to the ears.

I had technical issues both with the camera mount and the Rode Go 2 receiver getting wet, as it rained after the point where this video stops. I tried to keep vocals to a minimum, just enough to let you know my first thoughts. I wanted the raw sound of the bike to speak for itself. I will be producing further more in depth videos about the bike, now that I have camera mounting and audio issues resolved.

Oh my goodness what a beast. I absolutely lov the matt black exhausts, and their deep tone. I have a bike with a fiddly fill up, they put a bar inside the petrol cap, it took ages to get used to it when filling up. Anyway, I think it's miles better than a camper van.

What a cracking bike. Did you find the suspension a bit jarring though on the heavier potholes? Someone said that it was worth getting it set up professionally to make for a more comfortable ride 👍👍👍
