In 1912 Leo Frank was elected president of his local B’nai B’rith chapter.

In 1913 on April 26, a 13 year old girl named Mary Phagan went to pick up her pay from her 29 year old boss named Leo Frank at a pencil factory in Atlanta, Georgia. Instead of paying the girl, Leo Frank raped and brutally murdered the girl.

Immediately after this, the Anti Defamation League was created in September 1913 to deflect attention from the heinous nature of this crime.

When Leo Frank went to trial, the jury was paid off and he was aquitted of the rape and murder. The people were not having it and knew that he was guilty. In 1915, a lynch mob was formed and they hunted down and hung the murdering rapist.

To illustrate the depths of depravity and corruption, Leo Frank was pardoned in 1986 with the help of the ADL.
