julien, my 5 year old son secretly painted his nails one day and when we found out he thought he was going to get in trouble. i let him know that there was nothing wrong with painting his nails, he just needed some supervision. later that week my very conservative dad tried to make him feel embarrassed about his nails. “boys don’t paint their nails” and it broke my son. i introduced him to you, showed him your nails, and he has loved seeing your nails when you show them on stream. i want you to know that you’ve helped him so much and have made him feel so comfortable. i told him about you coming out with this nail polish and we agreed that we both needed the whole collection. thank you thank you thank you for helping my son feel comfortable in his own skin 🤍

As a straight guy I've thought about painting my nails a ton of times but always decided not to because of societal norms but I saw this video and finally decided "f*ck societal norms - I want to do it - I like how it looks" and today I went to work for the very first time with painted nails and it felt AMAZING.

I know he'll never see this but thank you @julien for giving this guy the confidence to be who the fuck he is and not be ashamed of it. Love you brother.

As someone who loved painting my nails before transitioning (FTM), and had to really build up that confidence to start doing it again after transition, I love seeing cisdudes rocking the painted nails. Just gives me a boost of confidence.

I love looking back at julien when we first met him to now, fully fun and mulleted and tattooed and making nail polish. It’s just so cool to see people comfy expressing themselves. I think all of us grew up in very restricting environments, especially at school, and we’re all learning to fully be ourselves, and few exemplify that better than julien!
