Chad managed to persuade Aprilia to let him loose on the roads of Italy with the new RS457. Could this be the best A2 licence sportsbike available?

I love how this class is maturing. Like 6 years ago the Ninja 300 was the example of the class. Plasticy, shite suspension, buzzy gutless engine. They bumped it to a 400, now a 500. The CBR500R looks like a mini blade, the RC390 like a mini prototype GP racer and this Aprilia and the CF Moto 450 seem to be right in the sweet spot of proper performance, great looks and usability. I wish these were around when I had my restricted (25 kW) license instead of having to restrict a bigger bike!

I could be the only human in that category, but for me Aprilia has never made a bad-sounding bike. Caponord (which i owned), Dorso, big and small Tuono, and now this. I love these guys.

I really think the CFmoto 450 is the main competitor to this bike. I have one and it’s a proper fun time. It was my 23rd bike so it’s not like I’m just starting out. I have my certifications and understand that it’s not 100 percent perfect however the Aprilia seems to be a bike for the experienced rider that can use all of it on track and so forth but the CFmoto is also very capable but has more tech for the regular rider. Example: gps tracking, movement notifications, turn by turn on the dash. Where the aprilia has track modes and things a track rider wants. I still think the CFmoto is kinda king of the class, the price is great, engine is so flavorful, electrics are good, brakes are good, and features are leading in its class. As the owner of three bmw s1000rr’s I would even dare to say that the 450ss is doing what the s1000 did back in 2008. It came out of no where with cutting edge tech on a bike made for the common man. Obviously it’s in two different brackets but I think it’s shaking the tree just like the s1000.🤙🏼

Aprilia is making such epic bikes, it's a shame they aren't selling as much as the others.

Nice to see a road review for a bike, thanks for mixing it up! I wish the Ducati 698 Mono had a decent road review as that is so tempting but there is little out there for road use. Most people will never touch a track, so it feels a bit pointless reviewing the bike only on the track and im glad your breaking the norm; Keep it up!

I have used those TV's eurogrip extreme tyres and they are good. You won't worry about them or feel that they are not good enough. And it a good set of tyres .

Good grip (better than a diablo Rosso ii) soft feel absorbs bumps well . But has feedback that's not razor sharp but grips unusually well.

Thanks for a great review. So good I wished it were longer. I hope you can test on a highway and let us know about the vibes at 128kph (80mph) for a long stretch. I love this bike.
@ 11:13 Anyone that didn't stay until the end missed a contagious laugh. Great line and sentiment.

A little clarity on the tyres, they've been doing really well in the domestic market in India. Due to rubber import restrictions, we don't have unrestricted access to international brands like Pirelli, Bridgestone, Michelin etc. which prompted local Indian brands to fill the void. If you rate the Metzeler M5s as 9 overall, these are a solid 8.5 in comparison. Of course more seasoned riders would prefer something better, but these are decent enough as OEM offerings.

I really like this bike and wish it was available in Australia when I was shopping for my 1st bike. I bought a CFMOTO 450SRS which I absolutely love! Light, nimble, quick enough for a learner and that 270 degree crank sounds amazing! 😎👍🏼

11:10 .. In America, Texas. I'm going 85 mph. A motorcycle cop flies past me. So, I follow him. 😆

Aprilia is probably the most undererrated brand, literally I don't see them on the road, and not even on internet, but let's be real, they make so beitiful bikes, for me they are in a top 5 best brand

Although I will be 50 years-old in two months I am thinking seriously of buying an RS457. You could say that I going to make a "midlife crisis" mistake but I am in love with the looks of this bike. Do you believe that furthermore its useability I could travel around Europe with this?

If I was in the market for an A2 bike I’d 100% get this

I cannot believe how casually he did that in 3rd. I wouldn't think that would be possible.
