Is it possible for an undocumented immigrant to get a work visa?

New York City immigration attorney Cory Forman has spent his legal career fighting for the rights of immigrants and non-citizens. This includes the right to live and work in the United States, obtain asylum, and reunite with loved ones.

In this Quick Question, he explains that this is one of the most common myths he faces in his practice. In reality, there is no such thing as a standalone work visa for an undocumented immigrant. A work visa is often tied to another application for immigration, such as asylum or a green card.

I hate that argument on documented work visa. Because in itself a Visa is a work document which means you have a document. You one-hundred-percent can be a undocumented worker. It's called working under the table and getting paid cash.
