Loving this book! It's even better than I was expecting with all the interviews and 'Making of' articles, etc. Any Acorn fans in the comments?

I got a copy at Christmas. It really is top quality, and brought back a lot of memories. I’m luckily enough to own an Electron and BBC, buy this book made me realise how many games I’m missing. Nice review

Will definitely be getting this, so many memories. My Dad still had his BBC in the attic up until a few years ago. Sadly now in landfill.

Looks a great book. So many memories there of 1980s of home and school computing

This is really cool it's always interesting to see there is a whole history when you don't know about it.

That looks excellent Pete.

I remember playing a load of those games.... Only at school as none of my friends had one 🤷🏼‍♂️

The book seems to be very interesting. I have no experience with Acorn computers since none of them was ever sold in my country, but I had a similar story to yours with my beloved Speccy. The first time I ever played a video game was Ghostbusters by Activision in a wonderful, brand new ZX Spectrum 48K. I was around six years old, and that moment changed my life forever. To this day, I play Speccy games quite regularly. Will this book get a digital edition?

It look like a nice object, it's too bad I didn't grew up on BBC Micro. I wonder if an equivalent exists, or if not should be made, for the Amstrad Amiga Atari. Would be a nice book for sure ^^

This book looks miles cooler than a certain nes guidebook lol

We had a BBC Micro from when I was very small. I inherited it when my dad got his first Amstrad PC, and many an hour was chewed up by it :).

Is there anything about the platform game Magic Mushrooms in it (don't giggle, it was a real game)? That was my favourite game -- it had a level editor which kept me amused after I beat the original.

How come you didn't back the risc os over on Kickstarter if you love Acorn so much? If you did, good for you, if you didn't, back it and get your friends, and thier friends to back it.
