"Far Side of Crazy" is a song by the American rock band Wall of Voodoo from their album Seven Days in Sammystown. It was released as the album's lead single in late 1985, with an accompanying music video combining black and white and full color footage.

Can't hear this without thinking of the Joker.
Anyway, great quality. Glad to see someone's keeping the classics alive.

One of the major reasons I did this video today is that the copy I own has severely distorted audio on it. At least once a week or so, it will turn up on random play ( I have music videos playing during the day from my collection) and it's that bad I always grimace and say to myself "I will do that video this week". And 3 years later, I finally did.
This is a shit of a video for a great song. I edited off the start, in which they are driving in a car for 25 thats all they do. As you can see, it goes from black and white to color. Although it doesn't look spectacular, it is a big improvement on the 480p official video.
This band was around from 1977 to 1988 and in 1982 they had a single called "Mexican Radio" which peaked at #18 in Canada, #21 in New Zealand and #33 in Australia. In 1985 "Far Side Of Crazy" failed to chart in all territories except Australia, where it reached No. 23 in June 1986 and stayed in the top 100 for 21 weeks. in 1987, they had a another charting song here called "Do It Again" which just made our top 40. Basically, Australia was the most popular place for them apart from their native USA. I quite like Far Side Of Crazy, it sounds like something that should have been in a Quentin Tarantino movie somewhere along the line.
Cheers, Austech

A great song that shouldโ€™ve been a hit. With an equally as great and fun oddball quirky video

Perfection! This song deserves the high quality remaster! Marc Moreland was always my favorite musician. The layers and soundscapes he created are genius. Gotta love Vasquez Rocks too!

Thank you. Incredibly talented group. You got some Oingo-Boingo - some INXS vibes and a little Fields of the Nephilim.
I must stay as much as I like the S.Ridgeway WoV ... I think this incarnation was better.
Deserved so much more attention than they got.
Glad I have all their CD's ( I think & yes CD's! )

I got to see these guys play live in the '80's on the Gold Coast. It was a huge night out. We only knew one song, Mexican Radio (?)! Nobody wanted to come as nobody knew much about them, but they were a great live act.
