I just opened up a suitcase containing my mother's bridesmaids dress when she was her sister's Maid of Honor. The wedding was immediately after World War II. This suitcase has not been opened since my mother put the dress in there a day after the wedding. The color is a beautiful pink with ruching on both right and left side of the front just like Princess Diana's gown. When I turned the gown inside out I found out that the ruching was held together by safety pins. That was my mother's designer invention. What a coincidence and a lovely one.

I remember that visit. I saw them in Halifax. I can't remember her dress was yellow or black polka dots. Whichever is NOT in a picture, that will be the dress as i am remembering one from the occasion and the other from a picture. I have a tiny picture from my little cheap camera circa 1982 that makes every thing look a mile away. I got ( Currently King) Charles (III); but, she was on the other side of the aisle. Can you imagine our photo tech availible now in use back then?
